Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-07-18. Mapper is a free, personal passion project, run by one person — these terms are written to be honest about that, not to read like a commercial service agreement.

The service

Mapper is provided free of charge, for personal use, as-is. There's no uptime guarantee, no service-level agreement, and no support team — just one person maintaining it in their spare time. The service may change, have downtime, or be discontinued at any time, hopefully with notice but not guaranteed.

Your account and your data

You're responsible for the accuracy of any place names, descriptions, or other data you enter or import into your account. Don't use Mapper to store or share anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to store.

Sharing your map

If you enable the optional public sharing feature, you're choosing to make a read-only view of your pins accessible to anyone with the link. That's your decision to make and undo at any time — see the Privacy Policy for details.

No warranty

Mapper is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Use it at your own risk. In no event is the operator liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Not a substitute for legal advice

This page is a plain-language description written for a small personal project, not a document reviewed by a lawyer. If you have concerns beyond casual personal use, use your own judgment.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in any meaningful way, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
